I receive a word from dictionary.com every day. Most of the time, I see that particular word in light of my life, which is really, God's life!
We look through a Chrsitian lens, don't we? This one didn't take a stretch at all!

Being the only example of its kind; constituting a class of its own; unique
You got that right, there is no one like our God. No one. He is THE sui generis!
As David said in 2 Samuel 7:
22 "How great you are, O Sovereign LORD! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears."
By the way, the word is of Latin origin :-)
